Empty Nest is built so that nothing you do in it reaches anyone else, including us.
Nothing.
The app has no account, no sign-in, and no server. It does not collect your name, your email address, your location, your contacts, or any identifier for your device. It contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking software of any kind.
Three things are saved so the app works the way you would expect:
All three are stored on your device only. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to read them. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it. There is no backup on our side, so we cannot recover journal entries for you — please keep anything you would be sad to lose somewhere else as well.
If you turn on the daily reminder, the notifications are scheduled by the app on your own device. There is no push service and no server involved, and the time you choose is not sent anywhere.
Empty Nest is written for adults and is not directed at children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
